Expenses Reports Overview

What this does

This guide explains the main reporting surfaces inside Expenses.

Reports are used for grouped spend totals, pay-period-style review, paid and unpaid visibility, saved views, and exports.

Before you start

  • Admins and Managers can reach the reports routes.
  • Export availability depends on company settings and role-based export permissions.
  • Pay periods should already be configured in the Admin App.

What you can do here

The reports pages support:

  • Mark All as Paid
  • Export
  • Show Dates
  • pay period Default View
  • Report View
  • Group By
  • filters for staff, teams, divisions, and expense type
  • quick date ranges
  • saved views

The report pages also support:

  • Export CSV
  • Export XLS
  • Add Template
  • Add New View
  • Save View
  • Delete View

The payout and export confirmation flows can also show:

  • Confirm
  • Cancel
  • Continue Anyway

Why this matters across the suite

Reports are one of the clearest places where pay period setup from the Admin App becomes visible.

If divisions do not share the same cadence, or if staff and structure are wrong upstream, the report output will reflect that.

Common mistakes

  • Treating reports as if they are the place to repair structural issues instead of reviewing them.
  • Exporting before checking whether the current filters and date field match the reporting question.

What to do next

If you need reusable output layouts, continue to export settings.
