How To Import Bookings

What this does

This guide explains the Booking Imports workspace.

Use it when you need to bring historical bookings into Booking without rebuilding them one by one.

Before you start

  • The user must already have access to Booking.
  • The import file should already be prepared as CSV.
  • Customer imports should be handled first where possible.

Why this matters across the suite

The import page explicitly recommends importing customers first so more booking rows can match existing customers automatically during review.

That matters because Booking works better when imported records line up with the rest of the customer and operational structure instead of creating avoidable cleanup.

Steps

  1. Open Booking.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Imports.
  4. Review the Recommended order guidance.
  5. Use Open Customer Import first if customer data still needs to be brought in.
  6. Choose either:
  • Select from Existing
  • Upload New
  1. Upload the CSV file if you are starting a new import.
  2. Open the import workspace.
  3. Follow the workspace flow:
  • upload the file
  • map columns
  • resolve customers, services, and frequencies
  • run preview
  • review results
  • import the bookings

Common mistakes

  • Importing bookings before customer imports are in place.
  • Treating the preview step as optional.
  • Deleting an import before confirming whether the imported bookings still need to stay in the system.

What to do next

After import, review the imported bookings and any cleanup work inside the normal Booking pages.
