How To Manage Jobs In Booking
What this does
This guide explains the Jobs page in Booking.
Use this page to group related bookings under one project and keep the work context together.
Jobs are also one of the cleanest ways to carry customer and project context forward into later labor and billing workflows.
Before you start
- The related customer should already exist, or be created during the job flow.
- Jobs are useful when multiple bookings belong to the same larger project.
Steps
- Open
Booking. - Go to
Jobs. - Use
Find jobif you need to search existing projects. - Click
New Jobto create a new one. - In the create dialog, complete:
Job nameCustomerAccount (optional)Account Addressif an account is selected
- Use
Create customerif the customer record does not exist yet. - Click
Create Job. - Open the job from the list when you need to review or continue working inside it.
Why this matters across the suite
Jobs help the team keep multiple related bookings tied to the same customer and project context instead of rebuilding that relationship by hand every time.
That same job context can matter later when Timecards follows the work and when Invoice needs to bill from the same operational thread.
Common mistakes
- Creating separate bookings that should really belong to one job.
- Leaving the customer or account relationship unclear before the work starts to scale.
What to do next
After the job exists, continue building out the related bookings under that project.
