Staff Setup Overview

What this does

This overview explains the setup path for staff in the Admin App.

Staff setup is not one screen. It is a structure made up of divisions, services, teams, staff assignments, wages, and pay settings.

Before you start

• You should be an Admin, Owner, or another role with permission to edit company structure.
• Plan to complete the related setup together rather than treating each page as isolated.

Recommended setup order

Use this order unless your company already has part of the structure in place:

1. Add a division.
2. Add the related services.
3. Add the related teams.
4. Add or review the staff member.
5. Assign staff to the correct team and structure.
6. Add staff wages.
7. Set the pay period.

Why this order matters

The Admin App repeatedly states that every staff member must have a division, a team, a service, and a wage assigned.

If you skip part of the structure, setup may feel incomplete later because the next pages depend on the earlier ones.

Common mistakes

• trying to add wages before the staff structure is in place
• creating teams before the division structure is clear
• adding staff without assigning them to the right team
• assuming a staff record alone completes setup
