Crm Setup Overview

What this does

This overview explains what needs to be in place before CRM is available to the right people in your company.

CRM is also one of the places where the rest of the suite can get cleaner customer, account, contact, and address context when those records should not be rebuilt inside downstream apps.

What must already be set up

  • the company must have an active CRM subscription
  • the user must be assigned access to CRM

Why the Admin App matters here

If a user cannot access CRM, the first place to check is usually the Admin App, because app assignment and subscription state are managed there.

Why Booking and Invoice also matter here

If the company wants customer and account records to stay consistent across the suite, CRM should not be treated as a dead-end record page.

That matters because:

  • Booking can reuse customer, account, contact, and address context when jobs and bookings are created
  • Invoice can reuse the same context when estimates and invoices are drafted

What you can do inside CRM

Confirmed route surfaces currently include:

  • accounts
  • contacts
  • activity
  • settings

Recommended setup order

  1. Confirm the company has CRM active.
  2. Assign the right users access to CRM.
  3. Begin working with accounts, contacts, and activity.

What stays incomplete if skipped

If app assignment is missing, users may not be able to access CRM at all.
