How To Manage Form Notifications

What this does

This guide explains the Form Notifications page for a specific booking form.

Use this page when one form needs different reminders or notification behavior than the Booking company defaults.

Before you start

  • The booking form must already exist.
  • Company-level Booking notifications should already be understood, because form notifications override those defaults.
  • Email sender identities are managed in the Admin App, not inside Booking.

Steps

  1. Open Booking.
  2. Go to Forms.
  3. Open the notification settings for the form you want to manage.
  4. Review the Form notification overrides area.
  5. Use Reminder Notifications if this form needs its own reminder timing or reminder templates.
  6. Work through each notification group and recipient tab.
  7. For each notification row, review:
  • Enabled
  • Email
  • SMS
  • Template
  1. Use Edit Templates or Edit email where needed.
  2. Click Save Notification Settings.

Why this matters in the suite

Not every booking flow should behave the same way.

If one service needs different reminders, customer messaging, or staff notifications, this is where that form can diverge without rewriting the company defaults for every other form.

Common mistakes

  • Changing form-level notifications when the real problem is the company default.
  • Forgetting that sender addresses come from the Admin App.
  • Turning off a notification without checking whether that form still needs customer or staff messaging.

What to do next

If you need to change all Booking notifications, go back to the company Notifications settings page instead of the form override page.
