How To Manage Notifications In Booking

What this does

This guide explains the company Notifications settings in Booking.

Use this page to manage Booking-wide sender defaults, reminder behavior, and notification rules that forms can later inherit or override.

Before you start

  • Booking email sender addresses are managed in the Admin App.
  • If no valid sender exists yet, you need to fix that in the Admin App first.

Steps

  1. Open Booking.
  2. Go to Settings > Notifications.
  3. Review the Booking default sender area.
  4. If needed, click Manage Email Addresses to open the sender settings in the Admin App.
  5. Choose whether Booking should use:
  • the notification-service app default
  • or a specific sender identity
  1. Review the Reminder Notifications card.
  2. Add or edit the reminder timings and templates you want to use across Booking.
  3. Work through each notification group and recipient tab.
  4. Review each recipient Master Switch so you do not accidentally disable an entire class of notifications.
  5. Save the settings.

Why this matters in the suite

Booking notifications are one of the main ways customers and staff stay aligned as work moves forward.

This page sets the defaults. Individual forms can override them, but if the company defaults are wrong, the rest of the app starts from the wrong communication rules.

Common mistakes

  • Looking for sender setup inside Booking when it actually lives in the Admin App.
  • Disabling a recipient master switch without realizing it affects form overrides and reminders too.
  • Changing company defaults when only one form needed a special rule.

What to do next

If only one form needs a different notification setup, manage that on the form-specific notifications page instead.
