How To Use The Bookings Calendar
What this does
This guide explains how to use the live calendar view in Booking.
Use it to move around the schedule, filter visible work, review billing readiness, and control the default calendar view your team uses most often.
Before you start
- The user must already have access to
Booking. - Calendar results are easier to trust when the shared division, service, and staff structure is already stable.
Why the Admin App matters here
The calendar filters depend on the same shared company structure used elsewhere in the Kindio Suite.
If divisions, services, or staff options look wrong in the Booking calendar, the upstream company setup in the Admin App is often the first thing to verify.
Steps
- Open
Booking. - Go to the calendar page.
- Use
Select dateif you need to jump to a specific day. - Use
Todayto return to the current date. - Apply filters as needed:
Divisionshows bookings in the selected divisions. Managers and Admins can select more than one.Serviceshows bookings containing any selected service. You can select more than one.Staffshows bookings assigned to any selected staff member. You can search and select more than one.Billingcan show all bookings, onlyReady for Invoice, or onlyNot Ready for Invoice.
- Enable
Show canceledif you need canceled bookings included in the schedule view. - Clear a filter to widen the results again. Filters change what is displayed; they do not change the bookings.
- Use
Make Defaultwhen you want the current day, week, or month view to become your saved default.
Ready for Invoice and Not Ready for Invoice
Ready for Invoice is a billing-workflow flag. It means the booking details and price are ready for the office to invoice. It does not mean the invoice has been sent or paid.
Not Ready for Invoice keeps the booking out of the ready-for-invoicing queue while work, pricing, taxes, or other details still need review.
To change the flag, open the booking and use the billing action menu. When the booking has a linked invoice, changing the flag in either Booking or Invoice updates the other application. Sending the linked invoice or recording payment also marks the booking ready because it has already entered the billing workflow.
Operational job completion is separate from billing readiness. Staff job-completion and Timecards workflow are handled on the staff work surface, not by an office completion action on the booking detail page.
Common mistakes
- assuming the calendar should show staff or service options that have not been set up correctly upstream
- saving a default view before checking that the filters really match the daily workflow
- hiding canceled work and then assuming the booking is missing entirely
- treating
Ready for Invoiceas meaningInvoice SentorPaid - marking a booking ready before its service, price, fees, and taxes have been reviewed
What to do next
If you need to work inside the booking itself after finding it on the calendar, continue into the booking detail or job workflow.
