Timecards Reports Overview

What this does

This guide explains the main reporting surfaces inside Timecards.

Reports are used for grouped labor totals, pay-period-style review, paid and unpaid visibility, and exports.

Before you start

  • Admins and Managers can reach the reports route.
  • Export availability depends on company settings and role-based export permissions.
  • Pay periods should already be configured in the Admin App if you want report grouping to make sense across divisions.

What you can do here

The reports page supports:

  • Mark All as Paid
  • Export
  • Show Dates
  • pay period Default View
  • Report View
  • Group By
  • filters for staff, teams, and divisions
  • quick date ranges
  • toggles for Include Unapproved and Include Paid Out

When you open Export, the page also supports:

  • Export CSV
  • Export XLS
  • Add Template

When you mark results as paid, the confirmation flow includes:

  • Confirm
  • Cancel

If a large export triggers a warning, the page can also show:

  • Continue Anyway
  • Cancel

Why this matters across the suite

Reports are one of the clearest places where cross-app setup quality shows up.

If pay periods, wages, divisions, teams, or staff access are wrong upstream, the report output will reflect that confusion instead of fixing it.

Common mistakes

  • Treating reports as if they are the place to repair structure problems that should be corrected in the Admin App.
  • Exporting without checking whether unapproved or paid-out rows are intentionally included.
  • Using the wrong pay period selection when divisions do not share the same cadence.

What to do next

If you need reusable export layouts, continue to export settings.

If managers are seeing too much or too little data, review permissions.
